A matt is a piece of coloured cardboard that sits between the picture and the glass. It's cut with a bevel and nicely frames the picture. Next, the picture is attached to a backing board and the matt sits over that. We stock a huge range frames to choose from, from very plain colours to very ornate moulded frames. We can help you choose the frame to bring out the best in your picture. The frame is cut to length and joined together at right angles to make the rectangular frame.
